Welcome to Christian Medical College Vellore
THANK YOU
Virtual PGCME 2020
Dear Friends,
We take this opportunity to thank you for your active participation in the 15th Annual Post Graduate Continue Medical Education program (Virtual PGCME 2020) conducted by the Department of Haematology and the Department of Immunohaematology & Transfusion Medicine, Christian Medical College, Vellore, between October 21 – 22, 2020.
We had excellent participation in this program with over 827 delegates from 174 colleges. For the first time, there were 35 international participants from the following countries: USA, Venezuela, Kenya, Oman, Qatar, and Myanmar.
We trust that all of you found the program informative and that your time spent listening to the lectures and discussions during the scientific sessions was useful. To maximize the utility of this program, we encourage you to visit our website at www.pgcmehematology.net and access the educational material and go through all the talks (slide sets available) as a method of reinforcing the concepts that were taught. Repeat this exercise once again after six weeks and, if possible, again after six months. As illustrated in a study below, this is the best method of learning, retaining and recalling useful information at a later date, which we believe will be useful for you in your practice of medicine later. Each such session we anticipate will require the dedication of about 6 hours over a weekend.
